In this course you’ll be introduced to the key topics and information necessary to design, plan, build, maintain, and insure walkway management. You’ll learn the key elements of walkway management including selecting materials, facility design and layout, foot traffic flow, cleaning processes, floor care tools, chemicals, audit programs, personal injury, and liability. You will understand how to use a standards-based approach to measuring walkway safety using published standards to measure static coefficient of friction (SCOF) and dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOF), be introduced to the ANSI/NFSI set of standards (B101.0, B101.1, B101.3), be introduced to ANSI A137.1 Accu-test (DCOF), understand the OSHA requirements related to walkways, and become aware of the key ASTM standards available.

- Be aware of how to decrease the risk and cost of slips and falls, improving employee as well as guest experience, while delivering cleaner, safer floors
